Astoria Music has released a soundtrack album for the documentary The State of Texas vs. Melissa.The album features the film’s original music composed by Christophe La Pinta (Through the Fire, SK1, Un flic, Anything for Alice). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music services. The State of Texas vs. Melissa is directed & produced by Sabrina Van Tassel and explores the life journey of Melissa Lucio, the first Hispanic woman to be sentenced to death in the state of Texas, who has been awaiting her fate for a decade and now faces her last appeal. The movie premiered at this year’s (virtual) Tribeca Film Festival and has recently been picked up by FilmRise for a domestic release on October 20, 2020.
