Zbigniew Preisner (Three Colors, The Secret Garden, When a Man Loves a Woman, At Play in the Fields of the Lord) has composed the original score for the upcoming Columbian drama Forgotten We’ll Be (El olvido que seremos). The film is directed by Fernando Trueba (Belle Epoque, Chico & Rita) and stars Javier Cámara, Daniela Abad, Aida Morales, Patricia Tamayo and Juan Pablo Urrego. The movie is based on Héctor Abad Faciolince’s novel of the same title and tells the true story of his father, Colombian human rights activist Héctor Abad Gómez, a man torn between the love of his family and his political fight set in the violence-riddled Colombia of recent decades. David Trueba (Living Is Easy with Eyes Closed, The Good Life) wrote the screenplay. Preisner has previously collaborated with Trueba on the director’s last feature The Queen of Spain. Forgotten We’ll Be is expected to premiere at one of the major film festivals later this year.
