Mateo Messina (Juno, Blockers, Barely Lethal, Tall Girl, The Wrong Missy) has recently scored the upcoming Netflix original film Desperados. The movie is directed by LP and stars Nasim Pedrad, Anna Camp, Sarah Burns, Robbie Amell and Heather Graham. The comedy revolves around a panicked young woman and her two best friends as they fly to Mexico to delete a ranting email she sent to her new boyfriend. Ellen Rapoport wrote the screenplay. Mason Novick (500 Days of Summer, Tully) is producing the project for MXN Entertainment, alongside John Finemore (Buffaloed, ARQ) for Lost City. Desperados will premiere on July 3, 2020 exclusively on Netflix.
Messina also continues to score NBC’s Superstore, which has been renewed for a sixth season.
