Varese Sarabande has announced a new soundtrack album for the NBC sci-fi drama seaQuest DSV created by Rockne S. O’Bannon, executive produced by Steven Spielberg and starring Roy Scheider, Jonathan Brandis, Stephanie Beacham, Don Franklin and Michael Ironside. The 2-CD set features selections of the show’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award nominee John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, The Jungle Book, Elf, Iron Man 2, Bruce Almighty), including the full score from the pilot on the first disc and music from several other Season 1 episodes on the second disc. seaQuest DSV – The Deluxe Edition is limited to 1,500 copies and is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you also listen to audio samples. The label has previously released a 14-track album featuring Debney’s music from the series back in 1995.
