Martin Todsharow has been tapped to score the upcoming sci-fi action adventure Snake Eyes. The film is directed by Robert Schwentke (Flightplan, RED, The Time Traveler’s Wife) and stars Henry Golding, Samara Weaving, Haruka Abe, Ursula Corbero, Iko Uwais, Andrew Koji and Takehiro Hira. The G.I. Joe spin-off chronicles the origin story of the title character. Evan Spiliotopoulos (Beauty and the Beast, Hercules) wrote the screenplay. Lorenzo di Bonaventura (Transformers, Bumblebee, The Meg) and Brian Goldner (Ouija: Origin of Evil) are producing the project. Todsharow (Desert Flower, Head Full of Honey) has previously collaborated with Schwentke on all of the director’s German language features, including Tattoo, The Family Jewels and The Captain. Alan Silvestri (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra) and Henry Jackman (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) have scored the previous two G.I. Joe movies. Snake Eyes is currently set to be released in theaters nationwide on October 23, 2020 by Paramount Pictures.
Todsharow also has the German comedy Contra directed by Sönke Wortmann and starring Nilam Farooq & Christoph Maria Herbst (to be released in German theaters this fall), as well as the Rainer Werner Fassbinder biopic Enfant Terrible directed by Oskar Roehler coming up.
Let me be the first to say…who?!
He has previously worked with the director on various flicks like Tattoo, The Family Jewels, and The Captain.
It appears like this will be his first score for something mainstream aside from Friend Request (maybe…?)
I’m curious to see how he does with something like G.I. Joe and if he can put his own fingerprints of sorts on it to make an impression.
Rather an “unknown” than one coming from the Zimmer factory …
You poor, spiteful little man…
You poor guy, who accepts any generic crap …
