Joseph Stephens (Observe and Report, Eastbound & Down, Flower, Vice Principals) is the composer of the new Netflix original series Never Have I Ever. The show is created by Mindy Kaling (The Mindy Project, Late Night) & Lang Fisher and stars Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Poorna Jagannathan, Richa Moorjani, Lee Rodriguez and Ramona Young. The comedy revolves around an Indian-American teen who wants to go from pariah to popular after a traumatic year, but friends, family and feelings won’t make it easy on her. Kaling and Fisher are also executive producing Universal Television production with Howard Klein (Jessica Jones), David Miner (30 Rock, Parks and Recreation) and Tristram Shapeero (Community, Blunt Talk). Never Have I Ever will premiere this coming Monday, April 27 on Netflix.
As previously reported, Stephens also has the Amazon series Upload (premiering on May 1) and the thriller Don’t Tell a Soul coming up. He also continues to score HBO’s The Righteous Gemstones and TBS’ The Last O.G.
