Todor Kobakov (The Samaritan, Born to Be Blue, Backstabbing for Beginners, Ransom, Bitten) is composing the original music for the new Quibi original series Most Dangerous Game. The show is created by Nick Santora (Scorpion, Prison Break) and stars Liam Hemsworth, Christoph Waltz, Sarah Gadon, Zach Cherry, Aaron Poole, Christopher Webster, Billy Burke and Natasha Bordizzo. The thriller centers on a man who – desperate to take care of his pregnant wife before a terminal illness can take his life – accepts an offer to participate in a deadly game where he soon discovers that he’s not the hunter, but the prey. Santora is also executive producing the CBS Television Studios production with Gordon Gray (Miracle, The Rookie, McFarland, USA) and Phil Abraham (Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, The Long Road Home) who is also directing all episodes. Most Dangerous Game will be available to stream on Quibi, which is set to launch on April 6.
Kobakov also continues to score the Canadian TV series Cardinal (which is available in the U.S. on Hulu) and also has the CBC original series The Trickster coming up. The composer has also recently scored the drama Sweetness in the Belly directed by Zeresenay Berhane Mehari and starring Dakota Fanning. The movie premiered at last year’s Toronto Film Festival and is currently awaiting a release date.
