Long Distance has released a soundtrack album for the French documentary Woman. The album features the film’s original music composed by Armand Amar (The Concert, The Source, Mia and the White Lion, A Bag of Marbles, Belle & Sebastian, The History of Love). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Woman is directed by Yann Arthus-Bertrand & Anastasia Mikova and is being described as an “epic narrative that pays tribute to women, their experiences, their struggles and victories – from Congo to Mozambique, Afghanistan to Syria”. The movie deals with topics such as motherhood, education, marriage or financial independence, but also menstruations or sexuality. The documentary premiered at last year’s Venice Film Festival and opened in French theaters earlier this month.
