Varese Sarabande will release a new soundtrack album for the 1995 thriller Hackers directed by Iain Softley and starring Jonny Lee Miller, Angelina Jolie, Renoly Santiago, Laurence Mason, Matthew Lillard, Jesse Bradford, Lorraine Bracco and Fisher Stevens. The album, which is being released in conjunction with the 25th anniversary of the film, features electronic music tracks from the original soundtrack album by artists such as Underworld, Orbital, Prodigy, among others. Also included are nine previously unreleased score tracks by composer Simon Boswell (Shallow Grave, Lord of Illusions, A Midsummer Night’s Dream), as well as two pieces by Guy Pratt. The 2-CD set will be released on April 17, 2020 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label will also release a limited vinyl edition featuring a selection of tracks from the album for Record Store Day (on April 18).
