Apple TV+ announced today the Alex Somers (Captain Fantastic, Honey Boy, Aloha, Manhattan) has composed the original score for the upcoming animated short Here We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth. The film is directed by Philip Hunt, narrated by Meryl Streep and features the voices of Chris O’Dowd, Jacob Tremblay and Ruth Negga. The short based on the New York Times bestselling book of the same title by Oliver Jeffers follows a precocious seven-year-old who, over the course of Earth Day, learns about the wonders of the planet from his parents – and from a mysterious exhibit at the Museum of Everything. Hunt also co-wrote the script with Luke Matheny and is executive producing the Studio AKA production with Jeffers and Sue Goffe. Here We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth will premiere on April 17, 2020 exclusively on Apple TV+.
