John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, The Jungle Book, Elf, Iron Man 2, Bruce Almighty) has been tapped to score the upcoming faith-based biographical drama I Still Believe. The film is directed by Jon & Andrew Erwin (I Can Only Imagine, Woodlawn) and stars KJ Apa, Britt Robertson, Shania Twain and Gary Sinise. The movie tells the real-life story of Christian music singer Jeremy Camp. Jon Erwin also co-wrote the screenplay with Jon Gunn (Like Dandelion Dust). The Erwin Brothers are also producing the project with Kevin Downes. I Still Believe is set to be released in theaters nationwide on March 13, 2020 by Lionsgate. Visit the official movie website for updates.
As previously reported, Debney has also recently scored the Angelina Jolie- & David Oyelowo-starring fantasy drama Come Away, which will premiere later this month at the Sundance Film Festival and is also expected to return to score episodes of the third season of The Orville, which is set to debut later this year.
We got score releases for I Can Only Imagine and Woodlawn. Hoping we get one for this too.
