The only movie opening nationwide is the horror thriller The Grudge written and directed by Nicolas Pesce and starring Andrea Riseborough, Demián Bichir, John Cho, Betty Gilpin, Lin Shaye and Jacki Weaver. The film’s original music is composed by The Newton Brothers (The Haunting of Hill House, Doctor Sleep, Ouija: Origin of Evil, Life of Crime, Oculus). No soundtrack album has been announced. Opening in limited release is the Chinese comedy drama Adoring (Chong ai) directed by Larry Yang and starring Lei Wu, Beibi Gong, Wallace Chung, Zishan Yang and Zifeng Zhang. Nicolas Errèra (Shaolin, The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir, Hidden Man, Mountain Cry) has composed the film’s original music.
