Dan Romer (Beasts of No Nation, Maniac, The Good Doctor, Atypical, Digging for Fire) has composed the original score for the upcoming drama Wendy. The film is directed by Benh Zeitlin and stars Devin France, Yashua Mack, Gage Naquin, Gavin Naquin, Ahmad Cage and Krzysztof Meyn. The movie is based on the classic story of Peter Pan and follows the title character as she must fight to save her family, her freedom, and the joyous spirit of youth from the deadly peril of growing up. The director also co-wrote the screenplay with Eliza Zeitlin. Becky Glupczynski, Dan Janvey (Patti Cake$), Paul Mezey (Maria Full of Grace, We the Animals) and Josh Penn (Monsters and Men) are producing the project. Romer has previously co-scored Zeitlin’s previous feature Beasts of the Southern Wild with the director himself. Wendy is set to be released on February 28, 2020 by Fox Searchlight.
