Goddamn Beyoncé, man. Getting her anywhere close to the Lion King remake was one of the worst of the many bad decisions the production had done. I can’t stand her self-indulgent way of singing. There is no humility, no attempt at serving the story at hand, making “Spirit” just a horrible song as a result. “I’m Beyoncé and look at all the things I can do with my voice” is the only thing I could hear while listening to that trash.
