Siddhartha Khosla is composing the original score for the new NBC comedy Sunnyside. The show is created by Matt Murray & Kal Penn who also stars in the series, alongside Kiran Deol, Moses Storm, Diana Maria Riva, Samba Schutte, Poppy Liu and Joel Kim Booster. The comedy centers on a former New York city councilman who finds his calling when faced with immigrants in need of his help and in search of the American Dream. Murray & Penn are also executive producing the Universal Television production with Michael Schur & David Miner (Parks and Recreation, The Good Place, Brooklyn Nine-Nine) and Dan Spilo. Sunnyside will premiere on September 26 and will air every Thursday night on NBC. Visit the official show website for updates.
Khosla also continues to score NBC’s This Is Us, which is returning for its fourth season this coming week, as well as Hulu’s Marvel series Runaways, which is coming back for its third season on December 13. The composer also has the Hulu limited series Looking for Alaska (to premiere on October 18) coming up.
