GMI Rights Management has released a soundtrack album for the Swedish/Georgian drama And Then We Danced. The album features the songs from the film by Zviad Mgebry & Ben Wheeler, among other artists. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. And Then We Danced is directed by Leven Akin and stars Levan Gelbakhiani, Ana Javakishvili and Bachi Valishvili. The movie centers on the rivalry between an obsessive young dancer, who has been training at the National Georgian Ensemble with his partner since he was a child and a new dancer who arrives at the company. The drama, which has been selected as Sweden’s candidate in the Best International Feature category for next year’s Academy Awards, premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and will be released Swedish theaters this coming weekend. Music Box Films has picked up domestic distribution rights for a theatrical release in 2020.
