Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the animated feature The Swallows of Kabul (Les Hirondelles de Kaboul). The album features the film’s original music composed by Alexis Rault (Being 17, Memories, Ladies, Golden Years). The soundtrack is now available digitally overseas. A CD and vinyl version will be released on September 20. No word yet on a domestic release. Visit the British Amazon store to check out the full track list and to listen to audio samples. The Swallows of Kabul directed by Zabou Breitman & Eléa Gobé Mévellec is based on the novel of the same title by Yasmina Khadra and follows Mohsen and Zunaira, two young lovers in a Taliban-occupied Kabul. The animated movie premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and is being released in French theaters this weekend.
