RZA is composing the original score for the new Hulu original series Wu-Tang: An American Saga. The show is created by the Wu-Tang Clan leader himself & Alex Tse (Watchmen, SuperFly) and stars Ashton Sanders, Shameik Moore, Siddiq Saunderson (playing Ghostface Killah), Marcus Callender, Zolee Griggs and Erika Alexander. The drama is set in early ’90s New York at the height of the crack cocaine epidemic and tracks the Clan’s formation, a vision of Bobby Diggs aka The RZA, who unites the men torn between music and crime but eventually rise to become the unlikeliest of American success stories. RZA & Tse are also executive producing the Imagine Television production with Brian Grazer (A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13), Francie Calfo (Empire, Genius) and Method Man. RZA’s previous scoring credits include Kill Bill: Vol. 1, Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai, Blade: Trinity and The Man with the Iron Fists. Wu-Tang: An American Saga will premiere this coming Wednesday, September 4 on Hulu.
