John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, The Jungle Book, Iron Man 2, Elf) has composed the original score for the new Netflix original movie Sextuplets. The film is directed by Michael Tiddes (A Haunted House, Naked) and stars Marlon Wayans, Bresha Webb, Michael Ian Black, Debbi Morgan and Molly Shannon. The comedy follows a dad-to-be who learns he’s actually a sextuplet and sets off on a wild journey to meet his long-lost family. Wayans is also producing the project with Rick Alvarez (White Chicks, Little Man) and Nathan Reimann. Sextuplets will premiere on August 16, 2019 exclusively on Netflix.
Debney’s other recent projects also include James Bobin’s Dora and the Lost City of Gold (co-scored with Germaine Franco) and Tom Shaydac’s Brian Banks, both of which are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend.
If this gets a soundtrack release too, I think Augist of 2019 will be one of John Debney’s best months in a long time.
It’s a paycheck.
