Jay Wadley has been hired to score the upcoming Netflix original movie I’m Thinking of Ending Things. The film is written and directed by Charlie Kaufman (Anomalisa, Synecdoche, New York) and stars Jesse Plemons, Jessie Buckley, Toni Collette and David Thewlis. The drama is based on Iain Reid’s best-selling novel of the same title and follows a man as he is going on a road trip to meet his parents on their secluded farm with his girlfriend and is thinking of terminating their relationship. Kaufman is also producing the project with Likely Story’s Anthony Bregman (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Foxcatcher, Begin Again), Stefanie Azpiazu (Enough Said, Private Life) and Bob Salerno (21 Grams, Nocturnal Animals). Wadley (Tales of the City, Cruise) has previously scored Likely Story’s feature Indignation produced by Bregman. I’m Thinking of Ending Things is currently in post-production. No word yet on a release date.
Wadley’s recent projects also include the indie comedy Adam, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and has been picked up for domestic distribution by Wolfe Releasing, as well as the comedy Olympic Dreams, which premiered at this year’s SXSW Film Festival, and the Hong Chau-starring indie drama Driveways, which premiered at the 2019 Berlin Film Festival and also screened this past April at the Tribeca Film Festival.
