Joseph Shirley & Ludwig Goransson have been tapped to score the upcoming comedy Bad Trip. The film is directed by Kitao Sakurai (The Eric Andre Show) and stars Eric Andre, Lil Rel Howery and Tiffany Haddish. The movie follows two best friends who go on a cross-country road trip full of inventive pranks, pulling its real-life audience into the mayhem. Andre co-wrote the screenplay with Sakurai and Dan Curry and is also producing the project with Jeff Tremaine (Jackass: The Movie, Bad Grandpa), Dave Bernad (Brad’s Status, Superstore) and Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, Gangster Squad). Goransson has previously scored Fleischer’s directorial efforts, 30 Minutes or Less and Venom. Bad Trip will be released in theaters nationwide on October 25, 2019 by Orion Pictures.
Goransson (Black Panther, Creed, Venom, Community) also has Christopher Nolan’s Tenet and the Disney+ original Star Wars series The Mandalorian coming up. He previously co-scored the short Little Match Girl with Shirley (The Open House).
