Composer George Fenton (Dangerous Liaisons, Groundhog Day, Cry Freedom, The Blue Planet, Cold Pursuit) is reuniting with director Andy Tennant on the upcoming drama The Secret. The film starring Katie Holmes, Josh Lucas, Jerry O’Connell and Celia Weston centers on a hard-working widow with three children who hires a handyman to fix her house during a terrible storm, only to realize that, as he grows closer to the family, he carries a secret connection to her past. Bekah Brunstetter (This Is Us) wrote the screenplay based on the popular self-help book and film of the same name by Rhonda Byrne who is also producing the project with Robert Cort (Mr. Holland’s Opus, Cocktail), Paul Hanson (W., Ophelia), Matthew George (Wind River, A Private War) & Joe Gelchion and Robert Katz (Law Abiding Citizen, The 33). Fenton has previously collaborated with Tennant on numerous features, including Hitch, Ever After, Anna and the King, Sweet Home Alabama and Fool’s Gold. The Secret is currently in post-production. No word yet on a release date.
Fenton has also recently scored Ken Loach’s Sorry We Missed You, which just premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
