Mark Korven has composed the original score for the upcoming horror thriller The Lighthouse. The film is directed by Robert Eggers and stars Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe. The movie tells the story of an aging lighthouse keeper who lives in early 20th-century Maine. Robert Eggers also co-wrote the screenplay with Max Eggers. Rodrigo Teixeira (Call Me By Your Name, Frances Ha) & Lourenço Sant’ Anna are producing the project for RT Features, alongside Jay Van Hoy (American Honey, Love Is Strange) & Youree Henley (The Beguiled, 20th Century Women) for Parts & Labor. Korven (Cube, Our House, Awakening the Zodiac) has previously scored Eggers’ previous feature, The Witch. The Lighthouse will premiere later this month at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival and is expected to be released later this year by A24.
