Brian Tyler (Fast & Furious, Iron Man 3, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Crazy Rich Asians) has signed on to score the upcoming action comedy Charlie’s Angels. The film based on the classic 70s TV series is directed by Elizabeth Banks (Pitch Perfect 2) and stars Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott & Ella Balinska in the title roles, as well as Sam Claflin, Noah Centineo, Djimon Hounsou, Patrick Stewart and Banks herself. Jay Basu (The Girl in the Spider’s Web) & Banks wrote the screenplay based on eearlier versions by Craig Mazin (Identity Thief, The Hangover II & III) and Semi Chellas (American Woman). Banks is also producing the project with Max Handelman (Pitch Perfect, Shrill), Doug Belgrad (Bad Boys for Life) and Elizabeth Cantillon (Concussion) Charlie’s Angels is set to be released on November 15, 2019 by Sony Pictures.
As previously reported, Tyler also has the DC Universe original series Swamp Thing (set to premiere on May 31) and the feature thriller Ready or Not coming up.
