Composer Nathan Johnson is reteaming with director Rian Johnson on the upcoming crime drama Knives Out. The film starring Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon, Toni Collette, Lakeith Stanfield, Ana de Armas, Don Johnson, Katherine Langford and Christopher Plummer is being described as a modern murder mystery. No plot details have been announced yet. The director also wrote the screenplay and is producing the project with Ram Bergman (Papillon, Self/less). Nathan Johnson has previously scored all previous directorial efforts by Rian Johnson except the director’s last feature Star Wars: The Last Jedi, including Brick, The Brothers Bloom and Looper. The composer’s other scoring credits include Don Jon, Kill the Messenger and Young Ones. Knives Out is set to be released on November 27, 2019 by Lionsgate.
