Zach Robinson has been tapped to score the upcoming indie drama Josie & Jack. The film marks the feature directorial debut of actress Sarah Lancaster and stars Olivia DeJonge, Alex Neustaedter, William Ficthner, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Owen Campbell and Anna Baryshnikov. The movie is based on the novel of the same title by Kelly Braffet and tells the story of two teenage siblings who are raised in isolation in a decaying rural Pennsylvania mansion. Lancaster also wrote the screenplay with Braffet. Jonathon Komack Martin (Van Wilder: Party Liaison) and Blake Goza are producing the project. Josie & Jack is currently in post-production and is expected to premiere later this year.
Robinson has also recently scored the Norwegian TV series Oljefondet created by Harald Zwart (The Karate Kid). The show premiered on Norwegian television in December and just finished its first season run earlier this month. The composer is also returning to co-score the second of YouTube Premium’s Cobra Kai, which is set to premiere later this year and is also co-composing the music for a feature film version of TruTV’s Impractical Jokers with Leo Birenberg. The Funny or Die-produced movie directed by Chris Henchy and starring James “Murr” Murray, Brian “Q” Quinn, Joe Gatto and Sal Vulcano is also expected to premiere in 2019.
