La-La Land Records has announced the details for its latest limited edition soundtrack albums, including a 40th Anniversary Remastered Edition for Richard Donner’s 1978 classic Superman: The Movie starring Christopher Reeve, Marlon Brando, Gene Hackman and Margot Kidder. The 3-CD set features the film’s complete score composed and conducted by John Williams (Star Wars, Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Ark) on the first two discs (including alternate and additional cues), and a remastered version of the original 1978 soundtrack album on the third disc. The label has also announced an album featuring the world premiere release of the soundtrack for the 1975 Paramount TV series Archer starring Brian Keith featuring music composed by Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Chinatown, Star Trek: The Motion Picture) who scored the pilot episode. Also included on the release is the remastered reissue of Goldsmith’s music to the 1967 thriller Warning Shot directed by Buzz Kulik and starring David Janssen, Ed Begley and Keenan Wynn.
