The Hollywood Bowl has announced this summer’s season schedule, which includes a number of film music concerts. On June 29, the Bowl will host a live to projection concert for Nicholas Hooper’s score for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Sarah Hicks will conduct the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. On August 17 & 18, David Newman will conduct the Los Angeles Philharmonic for live-to-projection concerts of John Williams‘ music for Jurassic Park (click here for more details).Newman will also conduct the Los Angeles Philharmonic for a celebration the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, featuring film clips with live accompaniment on August 15 (click here to learn more about the America in Space concert). On August 30 & 31 and September 1, John Williams himself will return to the Bowl as a special guest for the concert Maestro of the Movies.
