Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Jason Isbell is composing the original music for the upcoming drama Adopt a Highway. The movie marks the directorial debut of actor Logan Marshall-Green and stars Ethan Hawke, Elaine Hendrix, Diana Gaeta Marshall-Green, Betty Gabriel, Mo McRae, Chris Sullivan, Nate Mooney, Christopher Heyerdahl and Anne Marie Johnson. The film revolves around an ex-con who must learn to navigate the modern world while coming to terms with his own life, all while caring for an abandoned baby he finds in a dumpster. Marshall-Green also wrote the screenplay. Hawke is also producing the project with Jason Blum (Get Out, Paranormal Activity, Insidious) is producing the project with Ryan Hawke (Blaze) and Greg Gilreath, Adam Hendricks & John Lang (Cam). Isbell has recently also contributed a song to Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born. Adopt a Highway will premiere in March at the 2019 SXSW Film Festival.
