Brad Bird revealed in an interview with Variety on the red carpet at this year’s BAFTA Tea Party this past Saturday that he is collaborating with composer Michael Giacchino on an original musical, which will be the director’s next project and will contain about 20 minutes of animation. No other details have been announced yet. Giacchino has previously composed the original score for Bird’s last five features, The Incredibles, Ratatouille (for which the composer received an Academy Award nomination), Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, Tomorrowland and last year’s Incredibles 2.
