Michael Brook (Brooklyn, The Fighter, Into the Wild, The Perks of Being a Wallflower) is the composer of the new Freeform original series Good Trouble. The show is created by Joanna Johnson, Bradley Bredeweg & Peter Paige and stars Maia Mitchell, Cierra Ramirez, Tommy Martinez, Zuri Adele, Sherry Cola and Roger Bart. The drama is a spin-off of The Fosters, which aired between 2013 and 2018, and follows sisters Callie and Mariana as they move to Los Angeles and begin their lives as young adults. Johnson, Bredeweg, Paige, Mitchell and Ramirez are also executive producing the project with Greg Gugliotta (Tut), Christine Sacani, Jennifer Lopez, Benny Medina & Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas (Maid in Manhattan, The Boy Next Door). The show’s theme song is performed by Kim Bingham. Brook has previously scored the fifth and final season of The Fosters. Good Trouble will premiere this coming Tuesday, January 8 on Freeform. The pilot episode, which is directed Jon M. Chu (Crazy Rich Asians) is already available to stream online. Visit the official show website for updates.
Brook has also recently scored the drama Giant Little Ones, which premiered at last year’s Toronto Film Festival and has been picked up by Vertical Entertainment for a release later this year.
