Gaumont will release the official soundtrack album for the French historical crime thriller The Emperor of Paris (L’Empereur de Paris). The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, A Quiet Place, Logan, Scream, The Hurt Locker) and Marcus Trumpp (The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death, Mesrine, Little Evil). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 14 and will be available to download on Amazon. A physical version is also in the work. The Emperor of Paris is directed by Jean-François Richet and stars Vincent Cassel, Olga Kurylenko, August Dhiel, Freya Mavor, Denis Menochet and James Thierée. The movie tells the story of Francois Vidocq, a real-life ex-convict who became a police detective during Napoleon’s reign. The thriller will be released in French theaters on December 19. No word yet on a domestic release.
