Intrada Records has announced the world premiere CD release of the soundtrack album for the 1981 western The Legend of the Lone Ranger directed by William A. Fraker and starring Klinton Spilsbury, Michael Horse and Christopher Lloyd. The album features the film’s original music composed, conducted and produced by John Barry (Dances with Wolves, Out of Africa, Goldfinger, The Man with the Golden Gun), including the song The Man In The Mask performed by Merle Haggard (and featuring lyrics by Dean Pitchford) and harmonica soloist Paul Jones.
