Pedro Bromfman (Narcos, RoboCop, Elite Squad) has been tapped to score the upcoming comedy Poms. The film is directed by Zara Hayes (The Battle of the Sexes) and stars Diane Keaton, Jacki Weaver, Pam Grier, Alisha Boe, Phyllis Somerville, Charlie Tahan, Bruce McGill, Rhea Perlman and Celia Weston. The movie revolves around a a group of women who form a cheerleading squad at their retirement community. Shane Atkinson wrote the screenplay. Kelly McCormick (Atomic Blonde), Alex Saks (The Florida Project, Book Club), Andy Evans, Celyn Jones & Ade Shannon (Keepers) and Rose Ganguzza (Kill Your Darlings) are producing the project. STX Entertainment has just picked up domestic distribution rights for Poms and will release the movie in 2019.
Bromfman has also recently scored the documentary The Panama Papers directed by Alex Winters about the biggest global corruption scandal in history, and journalists who risked their lives to break the story. The movie opened in select theaters this past weekend and will air on Epix on November 26, 2018.
