John Frizzell is scoring the new CBS All Access original series Tell Me a Story. The show is created by Kevin Williamson (Scream, Dawson’s Creek, I Know What You Did Last Summer) and stars James Wolk, Billy Magnussen, Dania Ramirez, Danielle Campbell, Paul Wesley and Kim Cattrall. The psychological thriller is set in modern-day New York City and interweaves The Three Little Pigs, Little Red Riding Hood, and Hansel and Gretel into a tale of love, loss, greed, revenge, and murder. Williamson is also executive producing the project with Aaron Kaplan (Life in Pieces, Divorce), Dana Honor (The Neighborhood) and Liz Friedlander who also directed the first two episodes. Frizzell has previously collaborated with Williamson several times, including on the feature Teaching Mrs. Tingle and on TV shows including The Following, The Secret Circle, Stalker and Time After Time. As previously reported, Frizzell (Alien: Resurrection, Dante’s Peak, Office Space, Beavis and Butthead Do America) has also scored the upcoming horror thriller The Possession of Hannah Grace (originally entitled Cadaver), which will be released in theaters nationwide on November 30, 2018 by Screen Gems/Sony Pictures. The composer also continues to score Cinemax’s Mike Judge Presents: Tales from the Tour Bus, which will return for its second season on November 2.
