Johnny Klimek (Run Lola Run, One Hour Photo, Cloud Atlas, Deadwood) and Gabriel Mounsey are scoring the upcoming Netflix original series Messiah. The 10-part drama chronicles the modern world’s reaction to al-Masih, a man who first appears in the Middle East, creating a groundswell of followers around him claiming he is the Messiah. Petroni is also executive producing the project Mark Burnett (Survivor, The Voice) & Roma Downey (The Bible, Son of God), James McTeigue (V for Vendetta, Ninja Assassin) and Andrew Deane (The Double). Klimek & Mounsey have previously collaborated with McTeigue on this year’s feature Breaking In and Netflix’s Sense8. Messiah is expected to premiere in 2019 on Netflix.
