Jeremy Zuckerman has announced that he is set to compose the music for Netflix’s upcoming live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender. The show is based on the animated Nickelodeon series, which aired between 2005 and 2008 and follows the adventures of Aang and his friends who live in world, which is divided into four nations — the Water Tribe, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads — each represented by a natural element for which the nation is named. Original series’ creators Michael Dante DiMartino & Bryan Konietzko are developing the live-action adaptation. Zuckerman has previously scored the original series with Benjamin Wynn (as part of The Track Team) and also composed the music for the sequel series Legend of Korra. The new series is set go into production in 2019 and will premiere exclusively on Netflix.
