Lesley Barber is attached to score the upcoming biographical drama Adventures of a Mathematician. The film is written and directed by Thorsten Klein (Lost Place) and stars Philippe Tlokinski, Esther Garrel, Sam Keeley and Joel Basman. The movie tells the story of legendary Polish-American scientist Stanislaw Ulam, whose work contributed to the development of the hydrogen bomb as well as computers. The project is produced by Dragonfly Films, Germany’s Zischlermann Filmproduktion, UK’s Mirror Productions and Poland’s ShipsBoy. Barber (Manchester by the Sea, You Can Count On Me, The Moth Diaries) also has the comedy Late Night starring Emma Thompson, Mindy Kaling, John Lithgow & Hugh Dancy coming up. The composer has also scored the new Netflix original movie Nappily Ever After directed by Haifaa Al-Mansour and starring Sanaa Lathan, Ricky Whittle and Lynn Whitfield. The romantic comedy drama based on Trisha R. Thomas’ novel of the same title follows a perfectionist ad exec who experiences a romantic setback and embarks on a journey of self-discovery that begins with a dramatic hair makeover. Marc Platt (La La Land, Bridge of Spies, Legally Blonde), Tracey Bing, Jared LeBoff (Girl on the Train) and Lathan are producing the project. The film will premiere this Friday, September 21, 2018 exclusively on Netflix.
