Will Bates (The Path, The Looming Tower, I Origins) has recently scored the upcoming documentary Divide and Conquer: The Story of Roger Ailes. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Alexis Bloom and charts the rise and fall of the late Republican Party booster and controversial Fox News mogul who went down in flames amid multiple sexual harassment allegations. Bloom is also producing the project with Will Cohen. Alex Gibney (Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room, Taxi to the Dark Side) who regularly works with Bates serves as an executive producer. Bates has previously scored the Bloom-produced documentaries We Steal Secrets: The Story of Wikileaks and Bright Lights: Starring Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds. Divide and Conquer: The Story of Roger Ailes will have its world premiere next month at the 2018 Toronto Film Festival and will air on A+E later this year or in early 2019 following a theatrical run.
Bates also continues to score Syfy’s The Magicians and Starz’s Sweetbitter and also has the Syfy original series Nightflyers coming up.
