Keith Power is scoring the upcoming CBS drama Magnum P.I. The series is developed by Peter M. Lenkov & Eric Guggenheim and stars Jay Hernandez, Perdita Weeks, Zachary Knighton, Stephen Hill and Tim Kang. The show is a modern take on the classic 80s series and centers on a decorated former Navy SEAL who, upon returning home from Afghanistan, repurposes his military skills to become a private investigator. Justin Lin (Fast & Furious, Star Trek: Beyond) has directed the pilot episode, which Power co-scored with Brian Tyler (Iron Man 3, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Now You See Me) who will produce Power’s score for the rest of the season. Lin is also executive producing the CBS Television Studios and Universal Television production with Lenkov, Guggenheim, John Davis (Predator, I, Robot), John Fox (Game Night, The Blacklist) and Danielle Woodrow (S.W.A.T.). Magnum P.I. will premiere on September 24, 2018 and will air every Monday night on CBS. Visit the official show website for updates.
Power also continues to score CBS’ MacGyver, which is returning for its third season on September 28, as well as CBS’ Hawaii Five-0 (with Brian Tyler), which will begin its ninth season run on the same day.
