The World Soundtrack Academy has announced the first wave of nominees for the 2018 World Soundtrack Awards in the categories Film Composer of the Year, Best TV Composer and Best Original Song Written Directly for a Film. The winners will be announced at the World Soundtrack Awards & concert on Wednesday, October 17 at the Ghent International Film Festival. As previously reported, Philippe Sarde will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the event. Here are the nominations:
