Giona Ostinelli and Sonya Belousova are composing the original music for the upcoming Facebook Watch original series Sacred Lies. The show is developed by Raelle Tucker (True Blood, Jessica Jones) and stars Elena Kampouris, Kevin Carroll, Kiana Madeira, Ryan Robbins and Toby Huss. The drama based on Stephanie Oakes’ bestselling novel The Sacred Lies of Minnow Bly is modern reimagining of the classic Brothers Grimm fairytale The Handless Maiden and follows the journey of a girl who escapes a mysterious cult and finds herself in juvenile detention. Tucker is also executive producing the project with Scott Winant (Californication) who directed the first two episodes, as well as Jason Blum (Get Out, The Purge), Marci Wiseman & Jeremy Gold (Hell on Wheels) for Blumhouse Television. Sacred Lies will premiere on July 27 on Facebook Watch.
The composers whose previous scoring credits include last year’s The Mist series also have the features Lying and Stealing starring Theo James & Emily Ratajkowski and Reprisal starring Bruce Willis & Frank Grillo coming up.
