Michael Andrews has recently recorded his score for the upcoming romantic comedy Second Act. The film is directed by Peter Segal (Get Smart, 50 First Dates, Anger Management) and stars Jennifer Lopez, Milo Ventimiglia, Leah Remini, Vanessa Hudgens and Treat Williams. The movie follows a big-box store employee who reinvents her life and her lifestyle to prove to Madison Avenue that street smarts are as valuable as a college degree. Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas (Maid in Manhattan, Kidnap) and Justin Zackham (The Bucket List, The Big Wedding) wrote the screenplay and are also producing the project with Lopez and Benny Medina (The Fighting Temptations, The Boy Next Door). Second Act is set to be released on November 21, 2018 by STX Entertainment.
Andrews (Bridesmaids, Neighbors, Freaks & Geeks, Bad Teacher, Funny People) has also recently scored STX’s I Feel Pretty, which is currently playing in theaters, as well as the upcoming thriller Headlock starring Dianna Agron & Andy Garcia and the Belgian drama The Elephant and the Butterfly, which will be opening in U.S. theaters this summer by Blue Fox Entertainment.
