Clint Mansell (Requiem for a Dream, Black Swan, The Fountain, Moon) is scoring the upcoming crime drama Out of Blue. The film is written and directed by Carol Morley (The Falling, Dreams of a Life) and stars Patricia Clarkson, Jacki Weaver, James Caan, Toby Jones, Aaron Tveit, Mamie Gummer, Jonathan Majors and Devyn A Tyler. The movie revolves around a homicide detective who is called to investigate the shooting of leading astrophysicist and black hole expert and is affected in ways she struggles to comprehend. Luc Roeg (We Need to Talk About Kevin), Cairo Cannon and Maggie Monteith (The Experiment, Brotherhood) are producing the BBC Films production. Out of Blue is currently in post-production and is expected to premiere later this year.
