Nathan Matthew David is scoring the upcoming indie coming-of-age comedy drama Summer 03. The film is written and directed by Becca Gleason and stars Joey King, Andrea Savage, Paul Scheer, Jack Kilmer, Erin Darke, Stephen Ruffin, Kelly Lamor Wilson, Logan Medina, June Squibb. The movie is inspired by true events and centers on a 16-year-old girl and her extended family who are left reeling after her calculating grandmother unveils an array of secrets on her deathbed and is left to navigate her nascent love life in the midst of a family crisis. Eyal Rimmon (Swiss Army Man, Norman) and Alexandre Dauman are producing the project. Summer 03 will premiere next month at the SXSW Film Festival.
David (The Last Word, Satisfaction, Addicted to Fresno) also continues to co-score TBS’ Angie Tribeca, which will return for a fourth season later this year.
