Premiering on Friday, December 15, is the new Amazon original series Jean-Claude Van Johnson created by Dave Callaham and starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, Kat Foster, Moises Arias and Phylicia Rashad. The show’s original music is composed by Joseph Trapanese (Oblivion, Straight Outta Compton, Only the Brave, The Greatest Showman). The comedy follows a global martial arts and film sensation who is operating under the simple alias of “Johnson,” the most dangerous undercover private contractor in the world. The show’s full first season will be available to stream on Friday on Amazon Prime.
Also premiering on Friday is the Netflix docu-series Wormwood directed by Errol Morris and starring Peter Sarsgaard, Molly Parker, Christian Camargo, Scott Shepherd, Tim Blake Nelson, Bob Balaban, Jimmi Simpson and Michael Chernus. Paul Leonard-Morgan (Limitless, Walking with Dinosaurs 3D, Dredd, Dynasty) who previously scored Morris’ feature The B-Side has composed the show’s original music. The 6-parter exposes the dark history of the CIA’s mind control program Project MKUltra, and how it tore apart one American family. The full series will be available to stream on Friday on Netflix.
