Sony Classical will release a new soundtrack album for the Netflix original series The Crown. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Rupert Gregson-Williams (Wonder Woman, Hacksaw Ridge, Over the Hedge) who received an Emmy Award nomination earlier this year for his work on the drama and Lorne Balfe (The Lego Batman Movie, Terminator Genisys, Genius, Home). The soundtrack is set to be released physically and digitally on December 8 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Check back on this page for the full album details. The label has previously released a soundtrack featuring the music from the show’s first season. Season 2 of The Crown created by Peter Morgan and starring Claire Foy, John Lithgow, Matt Smith will premiere on December 8 on Netflix.

Buyer beware. If this is like Season One, the physical CD will be “Manufactured On Demand” (AKA CD-R). My guess is that Sony in the UK will have an actual pressed disc.
MORE BALFE !!!!! excellent
Seeing Balfe’s name attached makes me interested now
does anyone know the name of the piece being played during the motorcycle ride in Matrimonium (Season 2 Episode 7)?
