La-La Land Records and 5 Cats Studios will release a score album for Blue Sky Studios’s animated movie Ferdinand. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award nominee John Powell (How to Train Your Dragon, The Bourne Identity, Shrek, X-Men: The Last Stand, Bolt, Ice Age: The Meltdown). As previously reported, Island Records will release a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie next week. Ferdinand is directed by Carlos Saldanha and features the voice talent of of John Cena, Kate McKinnon, Gina Rodriguez, Anthony Anderson, Daveed Diggs, Gabriel Iglesias, Bobby Cannavale and David Tennant. The movie, which is inspired by The Story of Ferdinand by Munro Leaf & Robert Lawson and tells the story of a giant bull with a big heart, will be released nationwide on December 15 by 20th Century Fox.
