John Frizzell is reteaming with Mike Judge on the new Cinemax original series Mike Judge Presents: Tales from the Tour Bus. The animated series is created Judge (Silicon Valley, King of the Hill), Richard Mullins & Dub Cornett and recounts the raucous adventures of country music’s most legendary artists, including Johnny Paycheck, Jerry Lee Lewis, George Jones and Tammy Wynette, Billy Joe Shaver, Waylon Jennings and Blaze Foley, as told by those who knew them best. Judge & Cornett are also executive producing the project with Glen Zipper (Undefeated) and Sean Stuart (All Things Must Pass: The Rise and Fall of Tower Records). Frizzell (Alien: Resurrection, Dante’s Peak, The Following) has previously collaborated with Judge on the features Beavis and Butt-Head Do America and Office Space and the TV show King of the Hill. Frizzell’s recent projects also include the Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel Leatherface, which will premiere later this month on DirecTV and will be released in select theaters on October 20.
