Andrew Lockington has been tapped to score the upcoming romantic comedy Time Freak. The film is written and directed by Andrew Bowler and stars Asa Butterfield, Sophie Turner, Skyler Gisondo, Will Peltz, Aubrey Reynolds and Jillian Joy. The movie based on Bowler’s Oscar-nominated short of the same title follows a brilliant physics student who decides to build a time machine after his girlfriend breaks up with him. Ray Mansfield is producing the project for QC Entertainment, alongside Matthew Rhodes (Southland Tales, The Voices) for Rhodes Entertainment. No word yet on a release date for Time Freak.
As previously announced, Lockington (San Andreas, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, The Space Between Us) also has Brad Peyton’s Rampage starring Dwayne Johnson coming up. The composer also continues to score Netflix’s Frontier and has also recently composed the music for the drama Meditation Park. The film directed by Mina Shum and starring Sandra Oh, Cheng Pei Pei and Tzi Mah centers on a devoted wife and mother Maria who finds another woman’s thong in her husband’s laundry and is forced to confront her enduring silence and reassess her reverence for him. The movie will premiere next month at the Toronto Film Festival.
